Klaus Boehnke selected for 2022 Award for Distinguished Contributions to the International Advancement of Psychology
Dr. Klaus Boehnke, Professor of Social Science Methodology at Jacobs University Bremen, Germany, has been selected by the American Psychological Association (APA) for the 2022 Award for Distinguished Contributions to the International Advancement of Psychology. The award recognizes Boehnke’s “sustained and enduring contributions to international cooperation and to the advancement of knowledge in psychology,” according to the APA’s citation.
The distinction is to be presented at the APA Convention in Minneapolis, USA, in August 2022. Boehnke is Professor of Social Science Methodology at Jacobs University Bremen since 2002 and was Vice Dean of BIGSSS, the Bremen International Graduate School of Social Sciences, from 2007 to 2017. This inter-university institution of doctoral education is jointly run by the (public) University of Bremen and the (private) Jacobs University Bremen. He also is the Deputy Director of the Center for Sociocultural Research at HSE University in Moscow.
He has served IACCP as its Regional Representative for Europe (1996-2000), its Secretary General (2000-2008), its President elect (2016-2018), and President (2018-2020). Currently he is our association’s Past President.
