Call for new JCCP editor
The Communications and Publications Committee (CPC) of the International Association of Cross-Cultural Psychology has opened nominations for the Editorship of the Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology starting Fall 2021. Deborah Best is the incumbent editor.
We are looking for candidates who best meet the criteria for editor of JCCP. In addition to evidence of scientific and scholarly excellence, the role requires a broad intellectual perspective, a high level of expertise in research design and analysis, good judgment, and exceptional communication and management skills. Furthermore, the editor plays an important role in advancing the field and we are looking for candidates that would embody this pursuit. Experience as an Associate Editor of JCCP or a comparable top journal is desirable, but not strictly required.
Candidates are not required to be members of IACCP. However, Editors are expected to become members of IACCP.
Please note that the CPC encourages participation by members of underrepresented groups in the publication process and would particularly welcome such nominees.
If you are interested, please prepare a short CV and a cover letter explaining why you are interested in the role, and email this to Wolfgang Friedlmeier, chair of the CPC, friedlmw@gvsu.edu. The review of applications will begin on June 1, 2021 and there is no formal closing date. You may also contact me prior to your decision if you have any questions about the role or the journal.
