IACCP Research Heroes: new interview series

Elina Halonen

Superman_and_BatmanThis week we are starting a series of interviews with people who have played an important role in shaping the history of the IACCP as an organisation as well as made significant contributions to cross-cultural psychology.

We have a fantastic series lined up, with the first interviews coming up from Michael Harris Bond, Fons van de Vijver, John Berry, Ype Poortinga and Walter Lonner. More interviews are also in the pipeline, but if you have any suggestions or want us to interview your research hero, we'd love to hear from you!

The idea for the interviews was sparked at the Stellenbosch conference this July, when a group of enthusiastic NextGen people got together one evening and started talking about how friendly IACCP is as a conference - it's easy to approach people whose work you see cited everywhere, so why not make it more friendly and approachable even to those who did not make it to the conference this year?

We ask everyone the same questions, and post them every couple of weeks on the blog.

We hope that you will find the interviews as fascinating and inspiring to read as we have - these researchers' experiences of the world of cross-cultural psychology will hopefully give you insights that you can use in your own career.
